This tournament was initiated by Rotary in 2015 and runs annually in May at Wairakei Golf + Sanctuary prestigious golf course
Open to 120 players this tournament attracts both local and visitor registrations
All day BBQ supplied by Rotarians
Free carts provided for all teams
Putting and fairway practice area pre-Tee off
Prizegiving with Raffles and Auction at the end of the day in the Club House with platters provided for golfers

Longest Drive Women & Men
Closest to the Pin Women & Men
Car prize for Hole in One on Hole 10 sponsored by Ingham
About the Tournament
First held in 2015, after the fundraising event at the time, “Oxfam Trailwalker” Annual Event was moved to Whakatane
Needing a new Taupo Rotary Club Annual fundraising Event, Two Rotarians Phillipa Vivian of Taupo with the support of Districts Ron Fyfe, both avid golfers, came up with the idea of a Golf Tournament at Wairakei Golf + Sanctuary – and so the Event evolved
Each year two local charities are nominated to receive proceeds raised from this tournament.
